DSP-6LP Diablo Low Power Vehicle Detector - Solar Power Ready
DSP-6LP

Description

DSP-6LP Diablo Low Power Vehicle Detector - Solar Power Ready

  • Designed for solar powered applications in mind. Plug and play.
  • The DSP-6LP detector operates on any supply voltage from 10 to 30 volts AC or DC.
  • It draws about 1 mA of current with no vehicle on the loop.
  • Automatic & easy to use, self-configures upon power up. No guessing with settings.

Supply Voltage: 10 to 30 VAC or VDC, low stand-by current

Overview:

  • Works with any in-ground or surface mount inductive loop from 20 to 1500 µH.
  • Relay output is rated 1 amp maximum @125 VAC
  • No crosstalk with other detectors when used with other Diablo DSP-6LP's, DSP-7LP's or DSP-7's.
  • Wide operating temperature: -35°F to 165°F (-37°C to 74°C)
  • This device is also known as an inductive loop sensor or inductive loop detector.

Indicators:

  • Green Power LED: This LED flashes once per second to indicate the detector is powered and operating.
  • In the case of a loop circuit failure, the LED flashes twice per second.
  • In the case of a shorted loop, this LED will flash 10 times per second.

Fail-Safe vs. Fail-Secure:

  • A failsafe detector will output "detect" when the loop has failed. On the free exit loop, this will keep the gate open

until the situation is fixed. This is useful in applications where it is important to allow traffic flow to continue.

  • A fail-secure detector will never output "detect" when the loop circuit has failed. This will keep the gate closed.

This is useful in high security areas or installations where containment is needed. The DSP-6LP is a fail secure detector!
